What's New in ClaroIdeas V2?
New For V2 - USB edition
ClaroIdeas V2 is now available on USB. The USB edition runs directly from the memory stick on any PC. No files will be installed. This allows users to take ClaroIdeas V2 with them wherever they go.
New For V2 - View Tab
The view tab gives greater control of the look of ClaroIdeas V2. The following features are available in the View tab:
- Zoom in and out of the idea map.
- Choose which left and right panes are to be displayed.
- Select the map view (Map or Outline view).

New For V2 - Free Form Layout Feature
The free form layout feature allows users to create Idea Maps exactly how they want to without the map being automatically formatted.
New For V2 - Quick Access Buttons
Map View and Zoom buttons have been added to the bottom right of ClaroIdeas V2, making it easier to access these features.
New For V2 - New Keyboard Shortcuts
ClaroIdeas V2 includes more keyboard shortcuts to quickly allow users to focus on different left and right panes. This is useful when using ClaroIdeas V2 with dictation software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
New For V2 - Outline View
Outline view will show a list representation of the idea map.

New For V2 - Next/Previous Idea Notes Button
The Next/Previous Idea Notes buttons can cycle through all the notes on the map. Great for revision or when presenting an idea map.
New For V2 - ClaroCapture Import Function
ClaroCapture projects (.ccp) can now be imported directly into ClaroIdeas V2.
Improved For V2 - Line Weight Style
It is now possible to edit the line width that connects idea nodes between thin, medium and thick line weights
Improved For V2 - Pause Audio Playback
Audio notes can now be paused during playback.
Improved For V2 - Multi Line Ideas Label
Line breaks can now be inserted in idea nodes and links using Shift + Enter allowing users to enter multiple lines of text.

ClaroCapture V2
Fully updated for 2010 and included with ClaroRead V5.5, ClaroCapture V2 can collect text, audio and images from any document or web page, grouping it as a project file. The research file can be sent to Word, PowerPoint or ClaroIdeas, our latest ideas mapping software. It can also extract highlighted text from Microsoft Word documents. ClaroCapture is a great study skills tool.
Whats new in ClaroCapture V2
New For V2 - Improved Capturing Highlighted Text in Microsoft Word
ClaroCapture V2 has improved the way text from Microsoft Word can be captured. Using a colour highlighting technique, highlights can be extracted from the whole Word document, or section of the document, depending the chosen highlighting method.

New For V2 - Image Capturing
ClaroCapture now includes image capturing, allowing images to be dragged and added to the current project.
New For V2 - Capture Screen Selection
With ClaroCapture an area of the screen can be selected and ClaroCapture will add this area as an image to the current project. Great for adding the combination of pictures, graphs, associated text and references.
New For V2 - Audio Notes
ClaroCapture now allows audio notes to be added to each item. Great for collecting ideas and thoughts fast.
New For V2 - Improved editing
ClaroCapture gives greater control over how the captured media can be edited. Subitems can be added to the project and edits can be undone and re-done.

New For V2 - ClaroIdeas Integration
Clicking on the ClaroIdeas button will send the contents of the current project to ClaroIdeas. This option is only available if ClaroIdeas is installed.

New For V2 - Improved Exporting
ClaroCapture V2 will now quickly create a bibliography when exporting to Word 2007, automatically creating the bibliography when exported.
New For V2 - Operate from System Tray
ClaroCapture V2 can be operated whilst in the System Tray. This helps to capture content quickly with the minimum of fuss.
The ClaroCapture Toolbar
With ClaroCapture information can be captured and exported to various programs. Selected text can be captured from any computer application – web pages, PDF files, Word documents, databases – and add it to the current project. Images, audio and video files can be added by dragging them into the Capture project
Capture Highlighted Text in Microsoft Word
Colour highlighted text in Microsoft Word can be captued and added to the current project. Using a colour highlighting technique (using Microsoft Word highlighter) can speed up researching and key point identification. The highlights can be extracted from the whole Word document, or section by section, depending on the highlighting method.
Capture Screen Section
With ClaroCapture an area of the screen can be selected and ClaroCapture will add this area as an image to the current project. Great for adding the combination of pictures, graphs and associated text and references. Once all the information required has been captured, it can be exported into various formats using the 'Send Project To..' button on the ClaroCapture toolbar.
- Microsoft Word – Clicking on this button will send the contents of the current project to Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint – Clicking on this button will send the contents of the current project to Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Clipboard – Clicking on this button will copy the contents of the current project to the computer's clipboard.
- ClaroIdeas – Clicking on this button will send the contents of the current project to ClaroIdeas. This option will only be available if ClaroIdeas is installed.
